REGISTRATION FOR SHOWCASE HAS CONCLUDED: Players may register to be on a waitlist, but there is no guarantee of placement on a team.

 

Team Harambee is looking for individual players interested in participating in a FREE Women's Collegiate Soccer Showcase. All female high school and young adult/post-secondary players are welcome. You do not need to be committed to playing beyond high school, just curious!

The experience includes tournament games, free lunch, jerseys and a private tour of Allianz Field.

Countdown to Camp Harambee

Camp Harambee is our annual FREE soccer training camp for high school girls and boys. This year's camp is Wednesday, July 12 at Macalester College stadium.

 

  • 9:00-10:30am | Boys Camp/Training

  • 10:30-12:00pm | Ukraine U17B vs Harambee Stars international friendly.

  • 12:00 - 1:00pm | Free lunch for all participants

  • 1:30 - 4:30pm | Girls Camp/Training

Harambee Juniors - Grades 2-8

Harambee Juniors is a welcoming, fun and fast-moving introduction to soccer and athletic skills  These one-hour sessions are for young athletes at all levels of experience. Players will develop confidence and creativity while learning about the game of soccer.

Tuesdays, June 13, 20, 27 

Location: Brackett Park, 2728 S 39th Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55406
Fee: $15 for all 3 sessions, sliding fee scale available.

Play on Harambee's 7v7 Outdoor team

Harambee Sports Club is excited to once again participate in Futsal Society's FREE summer soccer outdoor league. This is a fun and competitive league. Registration with both Futsal Society and Harambee required.

Futsal Society League Highlights:

​

  • 8 League games between July 10 - Aug 4

  • 7 v 7 with Goalkeeper (7x21' goals)

  • Playing Nights are M-Th, 6-10pm, DeLaSalle Stadium, 2 games/week

  • League Cup Tournament August 4-6

  • Friendlies begin Monday, June 12

  • 80-minute games. 40 minute halves + 10 minute halftime

Harambee Sports Club offers over 500 hours of sports-based programs and activities each year with over 1000 participants. All Harambee Sports Club programs that aren't completely FREE are offered on a sliding fee scale. Your donation supports our programs that use sports to connect and engage youth with each other, caring adults and communities different than their own.

Free play futsal

Harambee Free Play Futsal will return this fall.

Come with your friends or meet new ones!

 

NO Cost and open to all middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) aged players. Free registration.

 

Join us for pick up futsal in the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis (accessible from both Minneapolis and St. Paul).

​

Harambee Sports Club provides balls, goals, pennies, supervision and music.

 

Players should have clean/dry indoor or gym shoes and masks must be worn at all times! No exceptions.

Houseplants for youth

Share your houseplants with young people! Harambee Sports Club has an ongoing community engagement and wellbeing project collecting houseplant cuttings from friends and neighbors. Plant cuttings will be propagated, potted and distributed to teens participating in our programming.  Learn more.
