Harambee Free Play for high school
 Harambee Sports Club

Harambee Sports Club is a new initiative that seeks to support diversity, equity and cultural humility in youth sports. Harambee is a Swahili word that translates to “working or pulling together.” We see sports as an engaging and challenging experience that must support youth with positive role models and provide them with opportunities to create connections with each other and their communities.

Harambee Sports Club was launched in the fall of 2019 by Coach Pete Munene who after nearly 25 years of coaching youth sports and activities saw a need to be more intentional about youth development best practices, social emotional learning (SEL), and supporting socio-economically diverse families in the sports experiences that were being offered to youth.

At this time, Harambee Sports Club will focus on offering soccer and futsal experiences including futsal free play for middle school, high school and adults and competitive futsal teams for middle and high school students.
